Working within energy distribution networks requires products that meet specific distributor standards. EDS manufactures a comprehensive range of products approved by Energex and Ergon — from fascia brackets and raiser brackets through to eye bolts, earthing hardware, and cable protection. These approvals mean our products can be specified and installed directly within the Energex and Ergon distribution networks without additional testing or qualification.

Maintaining these approvals is an active process. Each product must meet defined material specifications, dimensional tolerances, and finish requirements. We manage this through controlled manufacturing processes at our Brendale facility, where our mechanical engineers oversee production from raw material through to final inspection. Our galvanising process provides the corrosion protection required for outdoor installations across Queensland’s varied climate zones.

The practical benefit for electrical wholesalers and contractors is straightforward: when you order Energex or Ergon approved products from EDS, they arrive ready to install with full compliance documentation. There’s no risk of site rejection or project delays due to non-compliant hardware. We supply approximately 300 electrical wholesalers nationally, and our reorder rates reflect the reliability of both our products and our supply chain.

For new product development, our engineering team can work with distributors and network operators to design components that meet evolving standards. If a new bracket type, cable cover profile, or hardware configuration is needed, we have the design capability and manufacturing flexibility to develop, prototype, and produce it in-house.
