Components Built for Demanding Environments

Heavy Machinery Components

EDS fabricates heavy-duty components for machinery used in mining, construction, agriculture, and industrial processing. These are applications where component failure has real consequences — production downtime, safety risks, and costly replacement cycles. Our approach is to engineer components that are fit for purpose from the outset, using appropriate materials, welding procedures, and quality controls.

Heavy machinery components we manufacture include structural frames, mounting brackets, guard assemblies, wear plates, hoppers, chutes, conveyor components, and bespoke replacement parts for equipment that is no longer supported by the original manufacturer. We work in mild steel, high-strength structural grades, wear-resistant steels (such as Bisalloy), and stainless steel depending on the application and operating environment.

For replacement parts and breakdown repairs, speed matters. Our workshop operates with the flexibility to prioritise urgent jobs when a piece of equipment is down. We can work from existing components (reverse engineering dimensions from a worn or broken part), original drawings, or site measurements provided by maintenance teams. The goal is to get the machine back in service as quickly as possible without compromising the quality of the replacement part.

For planned production runs of machinery components, we work with equipment manufacturers and maintenance planners to schedule fabrication in advance. This allows us to optimise material procurement, batch similar operations, and maintain the dimensional consistency needed for interchangeable parts across a fleet of identical machines.
