EDS provides fabricated components for civil, transport, and utilities infrastructure projects. This includes structural steel elements, access platforms, handrails, connection hardware, and specialised components for bridges, overpasses, substations, and water treatment facilities. We work with construction companies, engineering consultancies, and government contractors across Queensland and interstate.

Infrastructure work typically comes with specific compliance requirements — material certifications, welding procedure qualifications, dimensional inspection reports, and traceability documentation. We maintain these systems as a standard part of our quality process, so compliance documentation is produced alongside the components rather than being assembled retrospectively. This keeps projects moving through their quality hold points without delays.

Our capacity covers both the fabrication of standard structural elements (cleats, gussets, base plates, stiffeners) and the manufacture of project-specific components designed by structural engineers. For repeat infrastructure programmes — such as a rollout of standardised substations or a series of identical pedestrian bridges — we set up production processes that deliver consistent quality across the entire order.

Material handling is an important consideration for infrastructure components, which can be large and heavy. We coordinate logistics to suit site access constraints, including staged deliveries for projects with limited laydown areas and sequenced delivery to match the erection programme. Our Brendale workshop is well-positioned for transport access to both Brisbane and regional Queensland projects.
