Engineering Precision for the Australian Lift Industry
From entrance systems to shaft hardware, we engineer and fabricate the components that keep lift projects on programme.
Overview
EDS brings genuine mechanical engineering capability to lift industry fabrication. Our team understands the complexities of elevator projects — tight tolerances, coordination with multiple trades, and the consequences of a component that doesn’t fit.
We manufacture entrance systems, car and landing doors, architraves, sills, safety hardware, shaft components, machine-room brackets, test weight trolleys, cable ducting, and temporary hoardings — including UV printed hoardings with full-colour graphics. Our track record spans projects across Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, the ACT, and Western Australia.
What sets EDS apart in the lift sector is the engineering depth behind our fabrication. Our three mechanical engineers understand lift installation drawings, can interpret specifications from all major lift system manufacturers, and know the practical challenges of getting components to work within the constraints of a real building shaft. When drawings don’t match site conditions — which is common in construction — we can respond quickly with revised components that keep the installation programme on track.
We work with lift installation companies on both new construction and modernisation projects. For new builds, we manage production scheduling to deliver components in stages that match the construction programme. For modernisation work, where new equipment needs to fit within existing shaft dimensions, our engineers work from site survey data to design adapter solutions that bridge the gap between old and new.
