EDS manufactures brackets for headers, door operators, rope brakes, door hangers, and other machine-room hardware to the specifications provided by lift installation companies. Machine room components typically require close tolerances and clean, consistent finishes because they interface directly with the mechanical and electrical systems that control lift operation.

The range of machine room hardware we fabricate includes motor mounting brackets, controller mounting plates, governor brackets, rope brake assemblies, deflector sheave supports, and cable tray systems. Each component is manufactured to match the specific equipment brand and model being installed — we work with all major lift system manufacturers and can interpret their technical documentation to produce accurate components without ambiguity.

For modernisation projects where existing lifts are being upgraded with new control systems or drive units, we fabricate adapter brackets and mounting solutions that bridge the gap between old shaft dimensions and new equipment. This is often more complex than new-build work because the existing structure imposes constraints that don’t appear on standard installation drawings. Our engineers can work from site survey measurements to produce components that fit the first time.

Material selection for machine room hardware is typically mild steel with primer or powder coat finish, though stainless steel is used where required by specification or environment. All components are deburred and cleaned before finishing to ensure smooth edges and reliable paint adhesion — important for hardware that installation technicians handle regularly during commissioning and maintenance.
