3D Printing. UV Printing on Metal. Industrial Capability.
Advanced printing services from an engineering-led team that understands manufacturing.
Overview
EDS has expanded its capabilities with two printing services that complement our core fabrication work: 3D printing for rapid prototyping and product development, and UV printing for durable, full-colour graphics directly onto metal surfaces.
These aren’t stand-alone services bolted on as an afterthought. They’re operated by a team that understands manufacturing processes, material properties, and the practical requirements of industrial applications. When we 3D print a prototype, we’re thinking about how the final part will be manufactured in metal. When we UV print onto a panel, we understand the surface preparation, material compatibility, and durability requirements because we fabricated the panel ourselves.
3D printing at EDS is primarily used for prototyping, proof-of-concept models, manufacturing jigs and fixtures, and low-volume functional parts. It allows our clients to test designs physically before committing to production tooling, reducing development risk and accelerating time to market for new products.
UV printing on metal produces permanent, weather-resistant graphics bonded directly to steel, aluminium, and stainless steel surfaces. Applications include equipment labels, safety signage, switchboard identification, branded panels, and the full-colour printed hoardings we produce for lift installations. Because we handle both fabrication and printing in-house, these products are delivered as complete finished items with no additional assembly or labelling required.
