Full-Colour, Durable Printing Directly onto Metal

EDS operates a UV flatbed printer capable of printing full-colour graphics, text, logos, and technical markings directly onto metal surfaces. This is industrial printing on metal — not paper labels or vinyl stickers — producing durable, weather-resistant graphics that are bonded to the metal substrate and won’t peel, fade, or degrade under outdoor conditions.

The UV curing process creates a hard, chemical-resistant ink layer that withstands handling, cleaning, and exposure to industrial environments. This makes it suitable for permanent identification plates, safety signage, switchboard labels, equipment nameplates, wayfinding signage, and branded panels. Because we print directly onto the fabricated component, there’s no secondary labelling process and no risk of labels becoming detached in service.

Print resolution is high enough for detailed graphics, fine text, barcodes, and QR codes. We can print onto steel, aluminium, stainless steel, and powder-coated surfaces. For projects requiring both fabrication and printing — such as printed aluminium hoardings for lift installations, or branded enclosure panels — we manage the entire process from sheet metal through to finished printed product.

Our printing service complements EDS’s existing metal fabrication capabilities. Rather than manufacturing a component and then sending it elsewhere for printing or labelling, we handle both under one roof. This reduces lead times, eliminates the logistics of moving parts between suppliers, and gives us quality control over the complete finished product. For variable data work (such as sequential serial numbers or unique QR codes), each print can be individualised within the same production run.
