Fabrication That Starts with Engineering

Custom Alloy & Steel Fabrication

EDS manufactures bespoke steel, stainless steel, and aluminium components for applications where standard off-the-shelf products won’t do the job. Our workshop is equipped with laser cutting, press brakes, tube bending, and welding capabilities, and we coordinate CNC machining through trusted local partners. This means we can take a project from raw material to finished component through a single point of contact, maintaining control over quality and lead times throughout.

Custom fabrication at EDS starts with understanding what the component actually needs to do. Our mechanical engineers review your drawings or specifications and can advise on material selection, forming methods, and finishing processes that will deliver the required performance. If you have a concept but not a finished drawing, we can work with you to develop the design to a manufacturable specification.

We work across mild steel, stainless steel (304 and 316 grades), aluminium (various alloy grades), and can source specialty materials for specific applications. Material thicknesses range from thin gauge sheet through to heavy plate, and our equipment can handle both precision light-gauge work and heavier structural fabrication within the same facility.

Typical custom work includes brackets, frames, enclosures, guards, mounting plates, structural supports, and prototype components. Quantities range from single prototypes through to production runs of several thousand units. For repeat orders, we maintain records of previous jobs including material specifications, tooling setups, and quality checks, so reorders are consistent with the original production.
